Join us for a tour of our impressive music studio facilities - from our Dolby ATMOS Studio to individual sound editing booths - before taking part in a mixing workshop using our 72 fader Neve Genesys Black G96 mixing console. In this hands-on session, we'll explore the various workflows possible in our studios, ranging from 'in the box' and 'on the console', as well as 'hybrid mixing' combining the two techniques, which has become a common approach in the industry. You鈥檒l respond to a themed photography brief and create a still life using materials inherent to the world of photography. Curious about how society shapes our lives? In this interactive session, you鈥檒l experience what it鈥檚 like to study Sociology at university by exploring the theme of education today.
Together, we鈥檒l ask questions such as: What factors influence the educational experiences of children and young people? How has education changed over recent generations? And what might the future look like? You鈥檒l see how sociology helps us understand these issues and why it matters in the world we live in.
You鈥檒l also meet members of our teaching team and recent graduates, giving you the chance to ask questions and learn more about the opportunities a Sociology degree offers - from careers in social research and policy to roles in education, media, and community development.

Immerse yourself in computing with our leading academics. After a course talk, join a session in software development, from inception to maintenance and analyse real world examples. You鈥檒l tour our advanced facilities, including the System Administration and Networking Suite and the Cyber Security and Digital Forensics Laboratory, where students develop skills in programming, AI, and network security.

Join us for an interactive taster session introducing you to our courses in Acting, Musical Theatre, and Theatre. The session will be held in our dedicated studio spaces in the White Swan Building, where you'll get a sense of who our expert team are and how we work. You'll be given a theoretical concept or prompt to work with that you'll apply in a fun and instructive practical session, discovering how music, movement, text, voice and performance work together across various styles. We'll wrap up the session with a chance for you to ask any questions you may have.

Discover what it鈥檚 like to train as a social worker in this interactive session. You鈥檒l start with a realistic risk assessment simulation, entering our specially designed flat to identify potential dangers in a home environment where challenges such as alcohol misuse, mental health issues, and neglect are present.
Next, take part in a decision-making workshop where you鈥檒l explore structured approaches to safeguarding and discuss real-life dilemmas. You鈥檒l also practice rapport-building techniques that are essential for engaging families in crisis and building trust.
Along the way, you鈥檒l meet current social work students, hear from service users with lived experience of disability and mental health challenges, and have the chance to ask our teaching staff questions about careers and the course.
